May Newsletter

Dear parents/guardians and students, n

We have a busy month ahead of us with EQAO coming up.
Here are some updates on our focuses for May:

In Math, we are reviewing what it means for something to be equal. We will explore algebraic
equations (equations with a symbol representing an unknown number) and creating new equations.
We will also explore probability and the likelihood of something happening.

In Language, we will be exploring the elements of non-fiction texts. We will looks for what these types
of texts have in common. Students will develop their skills to summarize non-fiction texts. While
reading at home students are encouraged to practise summarizing what they have read.

In Science, we have planted seeds and are learning how a plant grows. Have your child help out
