April Newsletter

Dear parents/guardians and students,

Here are some updates on our focuses for April:

In Math, we are working on transformations in geometry.
We will focus on rotations, translations, and reflections.
Follow the following link to help your child with these concepts.

We will then move on to examine fractions.
We start with examining what fractions represent using pictures.
Then, we will work on placing fractions in order from smallest to largest and finding where they belong on a number line.

In Language,we are working on persuasive writing.
We will practise forming an opinion, developing at least three arguments, and closing with a conclusion.
While reading at home, students are encouraged to make inferences by using their background knowledge along with what they have read to draw conclusions.

In Religion, we are continuing our Lenten journey.
We will examine the Easter story and the significance of Holy Week.
