March Newsletter

Dear parents/guardians and students,

Here are some updates on our focuses for March:

In Math, we are moving on to 3-D Geometry.
We will start by using our knowledge of 2-D shapes and comparing them to 3-D shapes.
We will sort 3-D shapes based on their geometric properties such as number of faces,
number of vertices, and number of edges.
We will also continue develop our multiplication skills and begin to investigate division.

In Language, we are starting to take a closer look at EQAO styled questions.
We will practise using the language from questions to help guide the answer.
We are also practising adding our own ideas into the answer to expand on the answer.
While reading at home, students are being encouraged to ask questions during reading
to ensure comprehension.

In Religion, we are beginning our Lenten journey.
We will begin to get our hearts ready for Easter.

March 1st: Scientist in the School
